It's That Time: Several Names Possible For WWE Royal Rumble

It’s that time of year. We are just over two weeks away from the Royal Rumble and that means it is time to start putting together the lineups for the show’s namesake matches. This includes thirty men and thirty women, which can make for quite the collection of talent in both. It also often means a bunch of returns and surprises, and this time we have an idea of who might be included.

PWInsider.com is reporting a variety of names who could be returning at the Royal Rumble, though it is not specified if they will be in the Royal Rumble matches or just at the show in some way. First up, Edge and Beth Phoenix are expected for the show, likely to set up a mixed tag match against Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley at Elimination Chamber. Second, Doudrop has been discussed for a possible return. This comes after Doudrop revealed that she had recently gotten over an illness. Finally, Logan Paul is being mentioned as a possibility for the show, though it will depend on the rehabilitation of his knee.

Opinion: This is one of my favorite times of the year as you get to wonder who might be showing up again. You don’t get to see that kind of thing very often and it makes for some special moments. The Royal Rumble is a show like no other and you get to see wrestlers who would never be around otherwise. Hopefully this year’s edition works, as we could be in for a rather great night.
