KB’s Review: Who Can Stop The Fire?

Like I’m not going to get some praise for McIntyre in here somehow. McIntyre is pretty clearly the kind of guy who could be the top star of the company in a heartbeat. I’ve wanted him to be the guy to slay Lesnar for a long time now but now it seems that it might actually happen. The problem at the moment is McIntyre being stuck in the middle of a three way feud with Finn Balor and Dolph Ziggler, which shouldn’t be an issue for him but is anyway.

McIntyre winning would be a leap, but at some point they have to actually take some kind of a leap with someone. Everyone is stuck standing around doing nothing but spinning their wheels as there’s just nothing going on. Who is supposed to get over using the kind of booking that WWE offers at the moment? Just have McIntyre throw someone out to win the Rumble and he’s an instant star.

Again though, there’s the problem of him not being quite ready for the big push that early. There’s a leap from where he is now to the spot that he needs to be in and I have a feeling that they wouldn’t pull the trigger. That’s what kept them in the spot they’re in for so long now and it would be nice for them to actually go somewhere for a change. McIntyre should be that person, but I don’t think he’s going to be.
