In case it wasn’t stacked enough. We’re coming up on what might be the biggest week in wrestling history and every show is getting ready to do as much as they can to make an impact. That is especially the case on Wednesday night, with NXT and AEW going head to head. Therefore, NXT is bringing out everything that they have and another big match has been added to the show.
This week on NXT, Matt Riddle defeated Killian Dain in a street fight to become the new #1 contender to NXT Champion Adam Cole with the title match coming next week. Riddle defeated Dain with a Fujiwara armbar in a rematch of last week’s match which went to a no contest when a huge brawl broke out with various members of the roster involved. This is the third title match set for next week’s show, joining the Street Profits challenging the Undisputed Era for the Tag Team Titles and Shayna Baszler defending the Women’s Title against Candice LeRae.
The fight to get to the fight. Check out how Riddle became #1 contender:
Opinion: That’s how you stack up a card and that’s what they’ve done for next Wednesday. There are a lot of things on the card and that means we could be in for an awesome night. Now the problem is what happens to the rest of the shows, as everything else has to live up to this kind of hype. That is extra important for AEW, which is going to have its work cut out for it. Either way, the fans seem to win and that’s a great thing.
