Maybe one more? There are a lot of famous names in WWE history but only a handful of them can be described as the face of the company. Over the years, there have been a handful of them at most and WWE is lucky enough to have one of them around today. That would be John Cena, who is now mainly an actor but does wrestle occasionally. Now we might be seeing more of the latter.
Cena was recently interviewed by Forbes to promote his new movie The Suicide Squad. During the interview, Cena mentioned that he would be interested in coming back to WWE after Summerslam. Cena said that he had a month off and wound up back in WWE, meaning that it was possible for him to wrestle again in the future as his schedule permits. While Cena is scheduled to head to Europe to film a movie in August, he is also scheduled for the September 10 SmackDown in Madison Square Garden in New York City. Cena will challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at Summerslam on August 21.
Cena has been around a bit as of late. Check out some of his recent and classic moments:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that is certainly possible as Cena has never been one to walk away from wrestling forever, but I’m not sure how much time he is going to have for it. Cena’s Hollywood profile continues to rise and having both The Suicide Squad and the upcoming Peacemaker miniseries is not going to make that any easier. The cool thing though is the fact that Cena seems interested in doing both, though possibly not at the same time.
