Load up the bus. The Coronavirus has changed the way the wrestling world works and that is going to be the case for a long time to come. There are only so many things that can be done to make the situation better but for the most part, both fans and the company are stuck waiting to see how things go. Now we might have an idea of what is coming up next and it seems to be a good thing.
During the latest edition of the Grilling JR podcast, AEW broadcaster Jim Ross mentioned that AEW will be going back on the road in July. This would include shows taking place in front of live fans. The company has not run a show in front of a full audience outside of Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida since March 2020, though several hundred fans have been attending Dynamite weekly over the last several months. There is no word on a specific date or where the show will take place.
Dynamite does work better with people around. Check out how the shows with fans work:
Opinion: Assuming this takes place, it should be a rather nice upgrade for AEW. There is only so much that you can get sticking around Daily’s Place and it is nice to see that the company is likely getting to make some changes. Ignoring the income aspect of the show, it will be great to have some fans there for the sake of adding in some energy. I hope this goes through, because it is so valuable for both the company and the fans at home and in the arena.
