Oh yes. The WWE Draft has come and gone and that means things have changed in a big way around the company. The rosters have been completely revamped, which means we should be seeing fresh matches between some people who have either never been on a show or have not been there in a long time. The latter is true in one case and it could make for a special return.
The Coronavirus pandemic has changed a lot of things in the wrestling world and that has been the case for over six months now. While there are a lot of issues going on, the biggest concern is over people’s health. It might be inconvenient and annoying to have everything shaken up so much, but the healthy and safety of the wrestlers and people involved is what matters most. Some wrestlers have taken themselves off the shows, but now we know when one will be back.
WWE has announced that Daniel Bryan will be making his return to SmackDown this Friday. This will be Bryan’s first appearance on the show since June 12, when he lost to AJ Styles in the finals of a tournament for the vacant Intercontinental Title. Bryan has been absent over concerns over the Coronavirus, as he has a weakened immune system due to previous medical issues. While he has not been in the arena for any show, Bryan has appeared in some promos and pre-taped vignettes. There is no word on what Bryan will be doing on the show.
Bryan is a pretty big addition. Check out what he is adding to the show:
Opinion: This is nice to see as Bryan has been gone for way too long. There are only so many things that you can do when you are unable to be on the show, so having Bryan back is a great plus. If nothing else, moving to the Amway Center probably had something to do with his willingness to return. With so much of the concern over the Coronavirus being built around maintaining distance between people, the Performance Center was hardly the best venue.
What do you expect from Bryan? What should he do on the show? Let us know in the comments below.
