According to Wrestlinginc.com, this week’s episode of “Impact Wrestling” took a big hit in viewership with an audience of 227,000 viewers. This number is down 15% from last week’s 268,000 viewers and is the lowest number for a non-holiday first run episode without a replay since the show debuted on Pop TV. The main event saw Eli Drake defending the GFW World Title against Matt Sydal.
Here’s the ending to this week’s show.
Opinion: In addition to the return of Thursday Night Football, I would be interested in knowing how much the ending to last week’s show had on this one. Last week’s show ended with the American Top Team MMA fighters mocking the wrestlers in the tag team main event and getting in another argument with Jim Cornette. I’m really not sure how interesting this is for a lot of fans and there’s a chance that has made some of them shy away. We’ll see more next week of course but this isn’t a good sign for the next few months.
