The year that was. This year is finally coming to an end and that is a good thing for a lot of people. 2020 has been quite the rough year for a lot of people involved and that is the kind of thing that you might not want to remember. There were some good things throughout the year though and now a wrestling company is looking back on those better moments in a fun way.

While AEW and WWE got most of the attention this year, they were not the only promotions to keep running throughout the Coronavirus pandemic. In addition to the two of them, Impact Wrestling continued producing new content all year long. It has been an up and down year for the company, but now they are looking at the top part of the year and praising the best of their best.

This week’s edition of Impact Wrestling featured the first half of the Best Of 2020, including a collection of matches, promos and segments. The show also included the announcements of the Best Of 2020 Award winners, with four awards being presented. This week’s show featured the X-Division, Knockout, Tag Team and Wrestler of the Year. Here are the winners:

X-Division Wrestler of the Year: Ace Austin

Knockout of the Year: Deonna Purrazzo

Tag Team of the Year: The North

Wrestler of the Year: Deonna Purrazzo

There will be more awards announced throughout the week on Impact Wrestling’s social media accounts.

It has been a packed year. Check out the winners in action:

Opinion: It’s hard to argue with a lot of these choices, including the North winning for the second year in a row. Impact Wrestling does not get the attention that they deserve a lot of the time as they really are good at what they do. They might not be the top promotion in the world or anywhere close to it, but they should get some attention when they deserve it, which was the case this year.

What do you think of the winners? Who would you have picked? Let us know in the comments below.
