He can be a bit volatile. No matter how many people help put together any given WWE show, there is ultimately one power in the company and that is Vince McMahon. As the owner of WWE, McMahon has the final say in any and everything that happens, which can be both good and bad. If McMahon is not pleased, something can go south in a hurry and that was almost the case with a group of wrestlers.

There are a lot of people on the WWE roster and on occasion, WWE is going to have a hard time figuring out a way to use all of them. That can be a problem when you have so many people sitting around, but grouping them into a stable can go a long way to solve such a problem. A stable is a tricky thing to pull off though and one of them was almost thrown out all together.

In a new interview with Lucha Libre Online, Fred Rosser (formerly known as Darren Young in WWE) revealed that McMahon threatened to fire the entire Nexus if they did not succeed in their debut. The team was called into McMahon’s office on June 7, 2010 in Miami, Florida before Monday Night Raw where McMahon told them that if they did not do as expected, he would let all of them go. Nexus would attack John Cena and CM Punk that night and stay together for the rest of the years.

This was insanity. Check out how the team debuted:

Opinion: That is as McMahon of a statement as you can get and I can’t say I’m surprised. I also can believe that McMahon was bluffing to fire the team up and it seemed to work. While the Nexus did not play out as well as it could have, their debut was excellent and one of the more memorable moments of the era for WWE. McMahon knows how to motivate people and he certainly did so there.
