They’re running out of time. With less than ten days before Stomping Grounds, you would think that most of the card would be ready by now. that’s the case to a certain extent, but there are still some things that need to be ironed out. As of Friday night, there are five matches set but one of them still has a stipulation to be set up. Now though, we know when that will be announced.
As announced on WWE.com, Baron Corbin will be announcing his choice for guest referee for the upcoming Universal Title match with Seth Rollins at Stomping Grounds on next week’s Monday Night Raw. Corbin was given the authority to make the decision earlier this week on Monday Night Raw but never made a decision. Sami Zayn auditioned for the role but Corbin said nothing about whether or not he got the job.
How did we get here? Check out Corbin’s announcement to set up the announcement:
Opinion: I’m almost scared to see what is going to be happening with this. Corbin vs. Rollins has not been an interesting feud so far and having another match between then with a special guest referee doesn’t exactly sound intriguing. It sounds like the deck will be stacked against Rollins, but how interesting is that going to be when it’s still all about Corbin getting the shot?
Who do you want to see as guest referee? Who will leave with the title? Let us know in the comments below.
