We need a head count. Last week, WWE went back to Saudi Arabia for their third event of a ten year contract with Super ShowDown. While not exactly popular with a large portion of the fan base, the show certainly got people talking, albeit not in the most glowing of terms. At the same time though, the show offered a very different perspective in Saudi Arabia. How well did things do there?

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Super ShowDown drew a live audience of about 21,000 people. The stadium can hold about 30,000 people, though the number may be higher for a wrestling event. The event did not draw a large walk up audience, though the initial ticket sales did well. It should also be noted that WWE did not receive any money from ticket sales as the entire event was a paid show.

Things were rather interesting last week. Check out what happened at Super ShowDown:

Opinion: Super ShowDown was one of those shows that didn’t work in execution but it did seem to draw some interest from the live crowd. While the audience wasn’t the biggest in the world, it’s not like there was no one in the stadium. Hopefully things get a little bit better as the shows continue, but more importantly, hopefully the shows get better overall, which would be rather nice to see.
