While this obviously isn’t good for “Monday Night Raw”, the silver lining is that the ratings are still WAY above the average ratings USA sees in the same lineup. “Monday Night Raw” averaged a 2.37 rating while the USA Network 1.11. In other words, “Monday Night Raw” is an incredibly valuable show to the USA Network and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
At the end of the day, cable TV ratings are down overall (according to the same article, the top 25 cable networks saw a 6% decline in the same time span) so it’s not just a “Monday Night Raw” problem. “Smackdown Live” seems to be on a good path but there are so many circumstances that helped boost it up. At the same time, there are various factors holding “Monday Night Raw” down as well, some of which are beyond WWE’s control (Monday Night Football and the US Presidential election to name a few).
