I’d say that’s acceptable. Last year’s Cruiserweight Classic brought in a slew of fresh talents to the company. While a good many of them wound up on “205 Live”, a few of them only made it as far as NXT. That’s not the worst place in the world to be, but one talent recently requested his release from the company for a personal reason.

HoHo Lun vs. The Velveteen Dream: WWE NXT, June 28, 2017

According to WWE.com, HoHo Lun requested and was granted his release earlier this week. Lun recently returned to his home in Hong Kong on vacation and found out that his mother was sick. As a result, Lun decided to move back home and take care of his mother, requiring him to leave WWE in the process. Lun was scheduled to wrestle on the company’s debut show in Shenzhen, China on September 17.

Opinion: This decision shows some maturity by Lun as he’s giving up on his dream to take care of something more important. It’s nice that WWE didn’t waste time in granting his release, especially when they could have used him for such a big show in just over six weeks. I hope Lun has some success back home as he seems like a nice guy, especially based on something like this.

Did you like Lun’s time in WWE? Do you think he’ll be back with the company? Let us know in the comments below.
