WWE United States Champion Rey Mysterio was a guest on the MMA Hour earlier this week when he was asked about his retirement. Mysterio, 48 years old, said that he hopes to retire from the ring in the next “year and a half or two”. Mysterio was induced into the WWE Hall Of Fame earlier this year, is a three time WWE World Champion and has been wrestling since 1989.
Yeah I’d say he’s a legend. Check out Mysterio in the ring:
Opinion: This is something that was going to happen at some point and hearing that Mysterio might want to be done around the time he is fifty years old is hardly a shock. Mysterio has been wrestling in five different decades now and at some point he is going to want to hang up the boots. His legacy is long since established and it will be awesome to see how his career wraps up.
What do you think of Mysterio’s time in WWE? Who should he face in his final match? Let us know in the comments below.
