He got it cleared. There are all kinds of people who come together to make a wrestling show work and some of them almost never actually get into the ring for a match. In addition to the wrestlers, the broadcasting team also plays a vital role, serving as the unofficial guides for the show. One of the most important members of WWE’s team was gone this week but it isn’t due to a problem.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They Got There: WWE Gets Some Great News For Survivor Series

Michael Cole was missing from the broadcast team during this week’s Monday Night Raw, with Kevin Patrick taking his place. According to PWInsider.com, Cole requested the night off due to a personal commitment “weeks ago”. Cole is not ill or being disciplined by the company and simply requested the night off. There is no reason to believe that he will not be back this week on SmackDown.

Cole missed a good show. Check out some of the highlights:

Opinion: A few weeks ago, Cole mentioned that he had missed a total of two nights in his history with WWE. The fact that this brings him up to three is insane to think about, as he has been with the company for well over twenty years. Like him or not, Cole is one of the longest tenured people in WWE and it is impressive to get to see him doing his thing twice a week even to this day.

What do you think of Cole? Who is the best WWE broadcaster? Let us know in the comments below.
