WATCH: Dominik Mysterio Has Backstage Altercation At Monday Night Raw, Likely Title Defense Set

Looks like he’s next. NXT has gone through a bit of a change in recent months as there have been several more main roster stars making appearances on the show. This has included multiple main roster stars winning NXT championships, including Dominik Mysterio as the reigning North American Champion. That has opened up some doors and now we might know what is next.

WWE has uploaded a video from backstage at this week’s Monday Night Raw, featuring Mysterio getting in a fight with Nathan Frazer, who was visiting the show. Frazer issued a challenge for a title match but no match was officially made. Later, Frazer responded to the video, saying he would see Mysterio this week at NXT. Mysterio has been regularly appearing in NXT and won the title for the second time earlier this month.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that sets up a match as well as can be done. What matters is Mysterio has a new challenger to come after the title and it wouldn’t be out of the question to see Frazer win. Mysterio is a beatable champion and we could be in for a heck of a match when they get the chance. It would have been nice to see the segment on television, but this is better than nothing.
