Whodunit: Mystery Attack Results In NXT Star Being Hospitalized, Main Event Changed

It might be a bit. There are all kinds of ways to write someone off of television and many of them can open the door for a storyline twist down the road. You can see some wrestlers going away for one reason or another and occasionally it is not clear what caused the change in the first place. That can lead to more than a few questions and we might be seeing that again.

This week’s NXT was scheduled to feature a triple threat match between Carmelo Hayes, Dijak and Baron Corbin for a future NXT Title match. Before the match, it was announced that Trick Williams would be added to the match, which did not sit well with Hayes. He and Williams made peace later, but then Williams was attacked by an unknown assailant, resulting in Williams being hospitalized and pulled from the match. Hayes, who arrived to check on Williams, went on to win the match and earn the title shot.

Williams can do a lot of things. Check out what he is capable of when he is healthy:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that could lead to a few questions and the biggest of course is who jumped Williams. While Hayes might be the most obvious choice, there is always the chance that there is something else going on for the sake of a twist. Either way, we could be in for an interesting situation and that is always a good thing to add to any wrestling show.
