He does have a point. There are a lot of ways to present a wrestler and one of the interesting ways is to have someone mow down all of their competition. It is a great way to make someone seem like a monster and that is the kind of thing that will work almost every time. AEW has tried it with someone else, but now the monster might be looking to do something else.

Back on the July 6 edition of AEW Dynamite, Wardlow defeated Scorpio Sky to win the TNT Title for the first time in his career. Wardlow was recently interviewed by Stephanie Chase and said that he feels he has not done anything since winning the title. While he has won some squash matches, Wardlow said that he wanted better competition. Since winning the title, Wardlow has wrestled four matches for AEW. These matches included a six man tag, a match that lasted less than two minutes, and title defenses over Orange Cassidy and Jay Lethal. It should be noted that there was nothing to suggest Wardlow is unhappy in AEW.

There is a lot here. Check out the full interview:

Opinion: I mean….kind of yeah. Wardlow has had two noteworthy matches since he won the title and now seems to be more focused on six man tag matches than title defenses. I’m not sure why Wardlow isn’t getting more serious competition but it would be nice to see it happen. Wardlow is the kind of guy who can do a lot of things in the ring but it’s ok to let him do it against some tougher competition.
