Hit the lights. This week’s episode of “Monday Night Raw” was the go home show for “Summerslam 2017” and featured a lot of build towards the pay per view. With a big finish of Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar in a big staredown, there was a good chance for a hot dark segment to wrap up the night.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, that wasn’t the case. There was no dark match or segment after the show ended. Strowman and Lesnar were held back even longer and eventually left the ring. Reigns and Samoa Joe had already left by this point and nothing else happened after the brawl was broke up.
In case you missed it, here’s how last night’s show ended.
SummerSlam foes meet face-to-face-to-face-to-face: Raw, Aug. 14, 2017
Opinion: That’s a bit disappointing but I’m assuming the idea here is to avoid any potential injuries to the bigger name stars, hence why the three challengers didn’t wrestle last night. It wouldn’t have hurt them to throw out a quick match though, if nothing else something that just sent the fans home a bit happier. It’s not necessary but it would have been nice.
