Don’t go messing with a country boy’s induction speech. We’re less than a week away from the induction ceremony for the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class. There are some interesting names in this year’s class with people like Goldberg and the Dudley Boyz leading the way. That doesn’t mean that the other names aren’t important though and they should all get time to give their speeches. However, before the inductees take the stage, there should be someone special in front of the to give a speech setting the stage for the honoree. We now know who is giving one of the induction speeches.

He does have a Hall of Fame career.

Hillbilly Jim joins the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018

As announced on WWE’s Twitter page, Jimmy Hart will be inducting Hillbilly Jim into the Hall of Fame. While the two didn’t have an in-ring rivalry, Hillbilly Jim did often face off against Hart’s clients throughout the years. After their careers were over, the two did appear together on “Legends House” where they formed a friendship of their own. Hart was inducted into the 2005 WWE Hall of Fame class.

Opinion: I mean, why not? Aside from Hulk Hogan, it’s not like Hillbilly Jim was involved with a lot of people in WWE. Unfortunately that also points to how odd it is to have him be inducted in the first place, but at least they’re going with one of the few people that would make some sense for him. Hart managed a lot of people over the years in WWE and several of them feuded with Hillbilly Jim over the years. I’d much rather go with something like this rather than someone that makes no sense whatsoever and has no connection to Hillbilly Jim whatsoever. If nothing else, Hart will probably have some funny stories to tell.

What do you think of the selection? Who else should have given the induction speech? Let us know in the comments below.
