There’s the next one. We are less than a month away from WrestleMania 38 and that means the show is starting to come into focus. With so many matches that need to be set up, WWE has a lot of work to do before we get to the event. They have covered the major title matches but some of the grudge matches still need to be set up. WWE covered one of them this week.
Earlier this week, Vince McMahon appeared on the Pat McAfee Show and announced that McAfee, a WWE SmackDown broadcaster, will be wrestling at WrestleMania but no opponent was announced. This week on SmackDown, Austin Theory came to ringside and slapped McAfee in the face, saying that he is McAfee’s opponent for WrestleMania. McAfee and McMahon had been rumored for a WrestleMania match and it is not clear if McMahon will still be involved.
Opinion: I’m curious to see how this is going to go because McAfee vs. Theory isn’t exactly a red hot match. McMahon is going to have to be added to it in some capacity, even if it is being in Theory’s corner, because Theory has just been a broadcaster for most of the last year. Hopefully they come up with something better, because this is kind of a weird, yet still interesting, way to go.
What do you think of the match? How do you see it going? Let us know in the comments below.
