Former World Champion Done With Impact Wrestling

The more things change. One of the more interesting things in wrestling is seeing wrestlers move around the industry from one company to another. You can have all kinds of places for wrestlers to go and that is the kind of thing that can change the way wrestling companies look in a hurry. That seems to be the case again with a rather prominent name in more than one company.

Back in April, WWE released a host of wrestlers with several dozen names being let go from the company. It is the kind of thing that you do not see taking place in WWE at almost any time. There were some very prominent names included on the list of released wrestlers and several of them have popped up elsewhere. One who did just that seems to have already moved on though.

According to Fightful Select, EC3 is done with Impact Wrestling with Bound For Glory being his last appearance with the company, though he could be coming back later. EC3 is now in Ring of Honor instead and will be with the company until at least the end of the year. There is nothing to suggest any bad blood between EC3 and either company and it seems that he was just on a short term deal.

Opinion: I’m not sure what to think of this but it does not seem to be the worst thing. EC3 came in, made a bit of a splash (or impact if you will) and has now left. There isn’t much more you can ask someone to do than that and he is now getting to stick around with Ring of Honor for the time being. Bouncing around worked for Cody so maybe it can work for EC3 as well.
