And another one bites the dust. I know it might be hard to remember, but TNA has an X-Division, which is their version of cruiserweights minus most of the positives. The X-Division Title isn’t exactly defended often but there is a new idea called Team X Gold which has offered a change of pace. However, it seems that one member of the division has moved on from the company.
WWE’s official Twitter feed has sent out a message saying that Mark Andrews, formerly known as Mandrews in TNA, will be one of the sixteen names involved with the UK Championship tournament. Andrews performed in TNA from 2014-2016 and won the second season of “British Boot Camp”. The tournament will be running on January 14th and 15th on the WWE Network.

I was never a fan of Mandrews’ time in TNA so this doesn’t do much for me. Then again, given that it’s TNA, there’s a good chance that he’s one of the most talented wrestlers on the roster who was never given the chance to do anything because his whole character was someone who rode a skateboard and did shooting star presses. That’s not much of a character but the X-Division isn’t much of anything these days.
Are you a fan of Andrews’ time in TNA? Who do you want to see in the tournament? Let us know in the comments below.
