Former Champion Makes Surprise Return On SmackDown

Welcome back. There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster that it can be hard to keep track of them from time to time. It doesn’t help when a lot of them are left sitting on the sidelines for months at a time. Still though, it can be nice to see one of them make a surprise return, even if it is not in the same way that you might expect. That was the case this week.

Naomi made her return to both SmackDown and WWE TV during this week’s show. She did not wrestle though, instead appearing in a backstage segment with Sonya Deville, who said she had nothing for Naomi tonight. Instead, Naomi will appear again on next week’s episode. Naomi has not wrestled since Money in the Bank on July 18, when she was a member of the Monday Night Raw roster. She was quietly moved to the SmackDown roster in the following weeks.

Opinion: I’ve always liked Naomi and I don’t know why she has been stuck on the sidelines for so long. It isn’t like WWE is overflowing with talent in the women’s division and Naomi regularly gets reactions from the crowd. Why is she sitting around doing nothing for so long most of the time? Let her see what she can do, as it isn’t like SmackDown’s women’s division has been doing great lately.
