First Step: More Details On Nick Aldis To WWE, Backstage Reaction

Off to a good start. The WWE has quite the revolving door of people as there will always be wrestlers or other on-screen stars appearing and departing every so often. It can be a big deal when someone makes their debut as part of a big moment but that is just the beginning for them. That took place again this week and now we know a bit more about how it is being received.

This week on SmackDown, former NWA and Impact World Champion Nick Aldis was introduced as the new General Manager of SmackDown. According to Fightful Select, Aldis came to terms with WWE on a deal this week, following a trial run as a producer. There is no word on if Aldis will continue as a producer, though he did not produce any matches or segments on this week’s show. Aldis is described as “easy to work with” behind the scenes and ready to try whatever WWE gives him.

Opinion: Aldis is someone who can be slotted into something like this with no problem as he is an experienced veteran who knows how to talk and can handle himself well on the microphone. There is always the chance that he can get into the ring if he needs to and that makes him all the more valuable. Being liked backstage to start is even better and now we get to see where he’s going.
