We meet again. Last month on Monday Night Raw, it was announced that Braun Strowman would face Baron Corbin at TLC in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match with Strowman’s future Universal Title shot on the line. Since then though, Strowman has been put down with a severe elbow injury and that could throw a monkey wrench into the match plans. With that being a possibility, WWE might have a backup plan.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is a good chance that Strowman won’t be able to wrestle at TLC on December 16. If this is the case, a replacement might be named for his Tables, Ladders and Chairs match with Corbin, and Strowman has suggested that Bray Wyatt take his place. Wyatt hasn’t wrestled on WWE TV since August, though he did appear at Starrcade in an untelevised match.
There’s certainly some history there. Check out Wyatt introducing Strowman to the WWE:
Opinion: As much as I don’t want another Wyatt Family reunion, this sounds like a good idea to me. It’s becoming more and more likely that Strowman isn’t going to be cleared in time for his match with Corbin so putting someone else in there to give him a big rub would be a nice idea. Wyatt is going to get a strong reaction and that alone will cover most of anything the match lacks. However, the idea of Corbin getting squashed by Strowman in short order is a nice idea as well.
