When roles reverse. As a freshly heel champion, Daniel Bryan needs some challengers to come after his WWE Title. Sure he has the big rematch coming up with AJ Styles at TLC, but he needs someone else after that. There is a lot of talent on the SmackDown Live roster and many of them could be a challenger against Bryan and his title. We might have gotten a preview last night after SmackDown Live.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, after last night’s SmackDown Live, Bryan defended the WWE Title against the Miz. Bryan successfully defended the title and left as champion. While Miz is usually a heel, he received a strong reaction from the crowd, which may have had something to do with the fact that he and his wife Maryse have moved to the city, as chronicled on their reality show.

This wasn’t Bryan and Miz’s only interaction all night. Check out Bryan’s appearance on MizTV, which included some extra violence:

Opinion: I’m not sure about this, but there could be something amazing about a face Miz fighting Bryan as a huge heel. That seems to be the way they’re heading and if that’s the case, we could be in for a rather interesting series of matches, even though Miz’s time as a face wasn’t all that great in the first place. He’s grown a lot since then though and with some luck, it could make a great run of shows.
