There was a reason for that. WWE has a lot of different television shows available, but that is not the extent of their content. In addition to everything they put on television, they have a wide variety of web series available as well. Some of these have quite the fan base, though one recent change was not so well received. Now we know a bit more about why that was the case.
Earlier this year, Paul Heyman was replaced on WWE’s Talking Smack series. The move came just after live fans returned to WWE events and it was unclear why the change was made. Heyman explained the change in an interview with Ariel Helwani, saying that he was unable to appear in the studio for the show while also appearing in Roman Reigns’ corner for the dark match main event. As a result of the scheduling conflict, Vince McMahon made the call for an immediate change. There is nothing to suggest that there is any heat on Heyman.
It’s an interesting interview. Check out the show, plus Heyman on Talking Smack:
Opinion: That does make sense and it’s a better explanation than McMahon making a change over anything Heyman did on the show. Heyman was outstanding on Talking Smack, but I can understand the idea of wanting him out there with the fans rather than on a recap show. Heyman can do some incredible talking elsewhere, so there is nothing wrong with making this kind of a change.
