Opening and closing in style. Dark matches can be a very powerful tool in wrestling. With the concept of sending them home happy, there are ways to take care of the fans and give them a reason to want to come back next year. That’s the case with this week’s SmackDown Live, which featured a post-show dark match that should give the fans something to cheer about.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, there were dark matches both before and after this week’s television tapings. Before the show, the Usos defeated Sanity’s Killian Dain and Eric Young. This is similar to their triple threat match last week which was won by Rusev Day. After the show was over, Daniel Bryan defeated the Miz in a match announced by General Manager Paige, who did not appear during the show.

Here’s how the show ended in the first place.

Brie Bella vs. Maryse: SmackDown LIVE, Sept. 11, 2018

Opinion: Nothing wrong with either of these as a tag match is a great way to get the show going and Bryan vs. Miz is one of the hottest feuds in the company at the moment. You need something good to set the show up and something else to send them home happy, which is exactly what they had here. Both matches sound fine and I could see both of them taking place on television again in the near future.

Which of these sounds better? When will Bryan finally beat Miz? Let us know in the comments below.
