That’s one way to price it. AEW’s Double Or Nothing was a rather well received event with some of the highest praise for a wrestling show in a very long time. There are all kinds of things to talk about with the show, but one of the main criticisms was the price. The show cost $50 in the United States and while fans still bought it, the price was a bit of a sore spot. That won’t be the case with AEW’s second event.

At this weekend’s E3 convention, AEW Executive Vice President Kenny Omega announced that AEW’s next event, Fyter Fest, will be airing completely free on the B/R Live streaming service. The event, which takes place on June 29, will be AEW’s second event and take place in Daytona Beach, Florida. There is no word on if any of their future events will be available for free on the service in the future.

It’s kind of a big deal. Check out the announcement from AEW:

Opinion: This is quite the move to make, but at the same time there is only so much that can be done at a high price tag. Fifty dollars is a lot of money and not something that you can ask the fans to do every single month. Offering everyone a chance to sample the product for free is a very interesting move and might get some more people to be willing to pay for the show down the line.
