We’re four days removed from “Bound For Glory 2016” and already things are changing on “Impact Wrestling”. On the first show after the biggest night of the year, Eddie Edwards shocked the TNA world by defeating Lashley to win the TNA World Heavyweight Title, ending Lashley’s reign after three and a half months.

Lashley was given a choice of challengers and chose Edwards over Moose and Ethan Carter III. Edwards defeated Lashley with the Boston Knee Party to win his first TNA World Title. This is Edwards’ second major World Title as he was also the Ring of Honor World Champion back in 2011.

Edwards is a very interesting choice for the title as he’s a guy who can wrestle against anyone and looks like a star in the making. If nothing else it’s nice to have a face champion for a bit instead of doing the same heel domination over and over again. This is a good idea and while I don’t know how long Edwards will hold the title, it’s nice to have something fresh.

Do you like this choice for a new champion? Who do you want to see Edwards feud with first? Let us know in the comments below.
