It’s never too early to start planning ahead. We are less than five months away from WrestleMania 37 and that means WWE needs to start getting things rolling with the preparation. They are going to have their work cut out for them after WrestleMania 36 was such a different show than they had planned. That means they need a stacked card and they have something in mind.

The main event of WrestleMania 36 saw Drew McIntyre defeat Brock Lesnar to become the new WWE Champion. McIntyre would go on to hold the title for almost seven months, during which McIntyre became one of the biggest stars WWE had to offer. That can make it difficult to find a challenger, so they were starting to look outside the company. That included another World Champion and there is a possibility of something happening.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there has been talk of McIntyre facing boxing World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury at WrestleMania 37, though nothing has been set in stone. The match would be difficult to set up due to the Coronavirus pandemic, as either would have issues traveling to the other country. A Saudi Arabia match is possible as well, but faces the same complications. Fury has wrestled in WWE before, defeating Braun Strowman via countout at Crown Jewel 2019.

They both have worked well in WWE. Check out some of their better moments:

Opinion: I know the match sounds interesting on paper but this isn’t something I have the most interest in seeing. McIntyre came a very long way during his title reign and a match with a celebrity, even a major athlete like Fury, does not sound like the most thrilling use for him. McIntyre seems to be on the verge of becoming a made man in WWE and I wouldn’t want to see him face a setback.
