Wrestling with honor. For the first time in a very long time, there are a lot of different places a wrestler can work while getting some major exposure. With so many places looking for talent, there are going to be a lot of moves up and down the card. That can make for some very interesting developments, and now we know where one of the dominoes is falling.

According to PWInsider.com, former Ring of Honor World Champion Matt Taven announced that he would be staying with the company during Saturday night’s television tapings. The announcement comes less than twenty four hours after Taven lost the Ring of Honor World Title to Rush at Death Before Dishonor. Both AEW and WWE had been interested in bringing him in after his contract expired this coming Tuesday October 1.

Taven can go in the ring. Check out a showcase match from Ring of Honor:

Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised as Taven’s title reign was not the most successful time in the company’s history. I’ve watched Taven for years and I’m not sure I get the massive appeal. He is certainly talented but there is a difference between that and being someone who would be wanted by a bunch of different companies. Odds are he is better off staying in Ring of Honor, as he has certainly had more success there than anywhere else.

What do you think of Taven? Is he better off staying in Ring of Honor? Let us know in the comments below.
