Yes it was. We’re on the Road to Wrestlemania as the battle for brand supremacy continues, which seems to include “Royal Rumble 2017”. Last night’s card included five matches but only one of them was a “Smackdown Live” exclusive.
This didn’t go unnoticed by “Smackdown Live” General Manager Daniel Bryan.
On his Twitter account, Bryan mentioned that while “Smackdown Live” only had one match (John Cena defeating AJ Styles for the Smackdown World Title, making Cena a sixteen time World Champion), it was the best match of the night.
Bryan congratulated Cena on his win and tying Ric Flair’s record.
#SDLive only had 1 match on the main card for #RoyalRumble and it was the best match on the show. Congrats @JohnCena @AJStylesOrg #16Times

Bryan isn’t exactly wrong and I’m not sure why “Smackdown Live” only had one match. The card could have easily been shifted to include the six women tag match while the thirty Royal Rumble facts could have been eliminated entirely. Bryan isn’t wrong to call the title match the best one of the night though as Cena and Styles tore the house down again, as they always do.
