The battle lines are being drawn. We have just over three weeks to go before AEW’s debut event Double Or Nothing. That would certainly be cause for notice from WWE, who don’t seem happy with the idea of another promotion being involved in their business. As it turns out though, they don’t like anything involved with the industry whatsoever and are letting some of their legends know about it.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, WWE has pulled Kurt Angle from this November’s WrestleCade convention in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, stating that WrestleCade is affiliated with AEW. WrestleCade has responded by saying that they are not affiliated with any wrestling promotion, though WWE has no offered a replacement guest for Angle. This comes after WWE pulled several guests from Starrcast II over Double Or Nothing weekend.

In case you haven’t seen enough Angle. Check out some of Angle’s best moments:

Opinion: I understand why WWE is doing something like this but it really does come off as petty. Is WWE really going to be threatened because someone who has just signed a five year deal is appearing at a convention that might kind of almost sort of be affiliated with a company that hasn’t held a show yet? It’s a little extreme and not something that is going to endear them to the fans that wanted to see Angle at the event.

Do you agree with WWE’s move? Who else will be pulled from upcoming events? Let us know in the comments below.
