It had been previously reported that former WWE superstar Dean Ambrose has changed his Twitter handle to Jon Moxley, which was a character that he portrayed before signing with WWE, and released a video showing him breaking out of prison.

This raises the obvious question: when will be seeing this persona live?

According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer NewsletterMoxley will be debuting on the independent scene starting sometime in June if not earlier. He’s supposed to have bookings with a several different promotions, which are expected to be announced shortly.

Check out the video for yourself:

Dave Meltzer further reports that WWE kept offering Moxley more money to get him to re-sign, however he kept turning it down because he just wanted out. The belief is that he wants a deal where he has complete creative control of his character, which is something that Vince McMahon is very much against.

Editor’s Thoughts:

This could get very interesting. Everyone immediately thinks that he will end up in AEW, which could be awesome, but I wouldn’t necessarily assume that will be the case.
