Coming Attractions: NXT Announces John Cena, Cody Rhodes, More For Next Week

They’re coming. The rise of AEW has changed the wrestling world, including some things for WWE. For the first time in a very long while, WWE has competition with some heavy funding on a major television network. That offers some different challenges for WWE, but the company has ways of fighting back. That is what they are going to be doing next week in a major way.

Next week, AEW Dynamite will be airing on Tuesday October 10, opposite the regular NXT time slot. This week on NXT, a series of guest stars were announced for next week. First up, Kiana James has announced that she will be bringing in Asuka to face Roxanne Perez. Second, Cody Rhodes will be making a special announcement. Finally, Carmelo Hayes will be facing Bron Breakker with John Cena and Paul Heyman in their respective corners.

Opinion: That’s how you fight back and it should make or a huge night of NXT. At the end of the day, AEW is coming head to head with WWE and they had to know something like this was going to happen. What matters the most is that the fans are going to see something special from both shows and should be in for a pretty awesome night of wrestling, which is kind of the point of watching.
