Back soon. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to be out of action and some of them are not even related to what they are doing in the ring. In some cases though, what someone else does in or around the ring is enough to take someone out of action, which is the situation again now. It’s a bit of a unique situation for some of the more unique people in wrestling.

Last week at AEW Grand Slam, Adam Cole injured his ankle coming to the ring. This week, Cole revealed that he had broken his ankle and torn ligaments, which will require surgery to repair. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful by way of, Cole’s girlfriend Britt Baker will be missing time from AEW as well as she will be taking care of Cole as he recovers. There is no word on how long either of them will be out.

They’re a good pairing. Check out the two together and apart:

Opinion: This is the kind of real life thing that you do not often see addressed in wrestling but it is something that has to be done. Cole absolutely wrecked his ankle and is going to need a lot of help to get back to normal. Baker is someone close to Cole who can help him in this situation, but unfortunately it means she won’t be around television for a bit. In this case though, that is the more important situation.

What do you think of the two of them? Which has the brighter future in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
