Remember them? There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history and some of them have made a bigger impact than others. Some of those wrestlers might be memorable, but that does not mean they are going to be around for years to come. Occasionally you will see a special appearance or two though and that might be what we are seeing again.

Former WWE World Tag Team Champions the Headbangers were interviewed by Wrestlingnews.co and spoke about the Legends contract they signed with WWE earlier this year. Mosh said that the team signed the deal in March and was told that it could take 10-12 months to produce their new merchandise. He went on to say that the team could be brought back to television as part of the deal, but did not know if that would be the case. The team last wrestled for WWE in 2016 as part of a brief reunion.

Opinion: Such contracts have been called Nostalgia Contracts and it is easy to see why. Save for the 2016 run, the Headbangers have not been a part of WWE since the early 2000s and there is only so much history there. What matters is that some fans have memories of them and it could mean that they are interested in seeing one more appearance from the team here or there, which is the point of such a deal.
