Lineup change? We are a week away from WrestleMania 38 and in theory, that should mean that WWE has everything set up. There are several things set up for the show and that is going to make for a rather loaded show. Just making the matches is the first step though as they also have to be presented in the best way. It turns out that the plans might have already changed.
One of the segments announced for WrestleMania Saturday is Steve Austin as a guest on the Kevin Owens Show. Original reports had said this would be the closing segment of the show, but according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the SmackDown Women’s Title match between Charlotte and Ronda Rousey is expected to headline the night. There is no word on why WWE made such a change.
Opinion: Rousey vs. Charlotte might not have the same amount of star power, but it is probably a better move. A wrestling show ending with a wrestling match makes the most sense as ending with something focused on talking would be a bit of a strange situation. Hopefully it works out well and there is something to follow Austin and Owens, which is not going to be easy.
What do you think of the change? How would you close the show? Let us know in the comments below.
