That didn’t take long. Retirements in wrestling are a weird thing as they can last anywhere from forever to a long time to almost no time at all. Sometimes it can be hard to tell what happened to cause someone to hang up their boots and in some cases you never get to find out. One recent case has already been overturned though and it’s rather interesting to see what is going on.
As announced on Twitter, Kylie Rae will be making her return to the ring on Saturday night for Freelance Wrestling at the Game Of The Genders event. Rae will be replacing Shotzi Blackheart against Isaias Velazquez in her first match after being granted her release from AEW earlier this month. There is no word on why she requested the release in the first place, though she has not wrestled since June 14.

Rae was interesting while she was out there. Check out one of her few AEW appearances:
Opinion: I’m rather happy to see this as Rae came off as someone who was always glad to be in the ring no matter what she was doing. I have no idea why she wanted out of AEW and that may never become known, but if this is what she wants to do, then good for her. There is nothing requiring her to work for a major company so hopefully she can do what she wants to do here. Either way, it’s nice to have her back.
What do you think of Rae? Where do you see her winding up? Let us know in the comments below.
