From the inner workings of their minds. While things have been a little stagnant in WWE over the last few months (if not a lot longer), there have been a few bright spots. Sami Zayn and Bray Wyatt have drastically altered their characters since WrestleMania 35 and the new versions have opened some eyes. The two of them have been rather interesting, which has made some people wonder where they came from.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, both Zayn and Wyatt are responsible for the majority of their own characters. Zayn has come up with most of what he says himself and the idea behind the character as a whole. Wyatt’s new character was invented by WWE Creative member Nick Manfredini but Wyatt developed the Firefly Fun House part himself. Wyatt’s new mask was designed by Kyle Scarborough with input from the team legendary Hollywood makeup artist Tom Savini.
Zayn can talk his way into everything. Check out his pitch for a match on Monday Night Raw:
Then there’s this, which is just creepy. Check out Wyatt’s latest Firefly Fun House:
Opinion: These two have been some of the few bright spots of Monday Night Raw in recent weeks and I hope that they can do more of the same going forward. These characters have been thought out and established by people who care about them and know what they’re doing with them, which has made them work that much better. Hopefully these two get to really see what they can do as this has been some very entertaining stuff.
