John Cena and Brock Lesnar get into a brawl that clears the entire locker room: Raw, April 9, 2012
Out with the champ, in with the Beast who also happens to be champ. John Cena and Brock Lesnar are two of the top stars in the wrestling world today but neither of them wrestles a full time schedule. As a result, that makes their live event appearances all the more special. While John Cena has been scheduled for several appearances in the near future, one of those has been canceled, but with a replacement announced.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, Cena’s appearance at a “Smackdown” live event in Tampa, Florida on August 12 has been canceled, but Lesnar will be taking his place. There was no word on who Cena would have been facing or who Lesnar will be facing. Cena was taken off the card so he could work other house shows that weekend.
Opinion: This makes sense as Cena is one of those guys who seems like he’d be glad to go anywhere he’s told. Lesnar on the other hand is VERY picky with where he’ll be appearing so you have to take him where you can get him. Lesnar appearing at a “Smackdown” show is a rare enough treat and there’s a host of talent he could be facing for a rare matchup.
Who would you rather see at a house show? Who would you rather see on TV more? Let us know in the comments below.
