Ok that’s big. Titles are the most important things in wrestling and it is not hard to see how. Wrestlers who hold titles are instantly seen as bigger deals as the big shiny belt around their waist can make all the difference in the world. Winning a title can mean a lot for a wrestler’s career, especially if it is for the first time. Now we are going to be seeing that take place again.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Hand It Over: Surprise Title Change Takes Place This Weekend
This week on Monday Night Raw, WWE COO Triple H announced that a new World Heavyweight Championship will be introduced at Night Of Champions on May 27. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will be drafted to either Monday Night Raw or SmackDown, with the new title being the other brand’s championship. There is no word on who will be involved in the match or what type of match it will be. The new title is not the Big Gold Belt design but a new, original look.

Opinion: This is something that has been rumored for a long time now and the interesting thing is where we go from here. WWE could instantly make a new star with the new title, while also keeping Reigns as champion for a very long time to come. I’m curious about where this is going and that is exactly how things should be going with an announcement as major as this one.
