WATCH: 31 Year Old NXT Star Returns To The Ring After Injury Layoff

She’s back! There are all kinds of stars on the WWE roster and it can be difficult for any given one of them to stand out. One of the best ways to do so is through a unique character or gimmick, which are often developed down in NXT. Now one of the most unique stars in all of the company is back after a lengthy hiatus, meaning things are about to get a bit strange again.

Wendy Choo made her return to action last week on NXT Level Up, teaming with Valentina Feroz to defeat Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend in a tag match. This was Choo’s first match since February 13 as she has been out of action due to an unspecified injury. Choo’s absence was explained on NXT TV by way of an attack by a mystery assailant who has yet to be identified.

Opinion: It’s good to have Choo back in the ring after a fairly long absence and one of the better things about it is the way she was written off of television. Having a mystery assailant take her out leaves a lot of options available for her, as NXT can pretty much hand pick whoever they want the attacker to be. It is nice to not have everything nailed down and we could be in for something interesting.
