A big one for a big man. The NXT UK promotion is starting to take some hold. There are some things going on over there that have drawn some interest, with the new talent getting to showcase themselves very well and some fresh faces getting a chance. That’s the best thing possible, but they’re just as vulnerable to injury as any other wrestlers. Now guess what has happened.
NXT UK star Eddie Dennis has announced on Twitter that he has torn his pectoral muscle completely off the bone and underwent surgery on Sunday. The rehab will keep him on the shelf for about six months. There is no word on when he was injured. Dennis has been on the NXT UK roster since near the beginning of the promotion, with his highest profile match being a loss to Dave Mastiff at Takeover: Blackpool.
The guy is rather imposing. Check out Dennis vs. Mastiff:
Opinion: Normally I would say that it could be worse and while that’s true here, this is a pretty bad long term injury that is going to put Dennis on the sidelines for a long time. I’ve liked Dennis since he debuted as he’s one of the more unique stars on the show. If nothing else he’s taller than most and that’s going to make him stand out. Couple that with some intimidating promos and he has something.
What do you think of Dennis? W hat should he do when he gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
