It’s good to have her back. On Monday of this week, WWE celebrated the five year anniversary or the Women’s Revolution. That one night saw three future megastars of the division debut, permanently changing the way the division as well as the company worked. It gave women a new target to shoot for and the next generation suddenly looked a lot brighter. Part of that new generation returned this week and now we know why.
NXT has done as much for the Women’s Revolution as anyone, with a lot of the movement starting there. Back in 2013, Paige became the first NXT Women’s Champion, followed by a pretty outstanding title match between Natalya and Charlotte the next year, which set the title up as something that needed to be seen. The women’s division was off to the races and now we can see it coming up to the main roster, even if it might not be for the best reason.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Bianca Belair made her return to Monday Night Raw this week as a replacement for Liv Morgan. Belair returned to team with Ruby Riott to defeat the IIconics, though the original plan was for Morgan to be Riott’s partner. Morgan has not appeared since the June 22 Monday Night Raw. It is not clear why she is gone or when she will be back.
She is quite the replacement. Check out how Belair looked as a substitute:
Opinion: I can see why WWE would want to push Morgan, but it’s nice to see Belair back under any circumstances. She really is someone who seems like the complete package and there is no reason to bring her up to the show and then have her sit around on the sidelines for so long. Hopefully she can get a chance to show what she can do, as she could do a lot for the show.
What do you think of Belair? What can she do on Monday Night Raw? Let us know in the comments below.
