They’ve still got it. Stables have been a major part of wrestling for decades and still are to this day. The idea of putting wrestlers together makes sense as they can accomplish similar goals and share television time. Every so often the wrestlers in a stable can do even better on their own. We are now seeing one of the most successful stables in recent years doing just that on a large scale.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Fare Them Well: Two Names Reportedly Gone From WWE
Pro Wrestling Illustrated has released its annual Top 500 list, with the former members of the Shield taking the top three spots. Seth Rollins ranted #1, Roman Reigns #2 and Jon Moxley #3. This is the first time that any stable has taken the top three spots and the first time since 1995 that a team of any kind of had ranked in the top two. Here is the entire top ten:
1. Seth Rollins
2. Roman Reigns
3. Jon Moxley
4. GUNTHER
5. El Hijo del Vikingo
6. MJF
7. Kazuchika Okada
8. Orange Cassidy
9. Josh Alexander
10. Cody Rhodes

Opinion: That is quite the accomplishment and the former team deserves quite the praise for what they have accomplished. The Shield was one of the most dominant factions that WWE has seen in a very long time and now they are dominating again on their own. You just do not see something like that happen very often and it is one of the more impressive things that has happened in a good while.
