He’s out too. The biggest wrestling story of the week, as well as the year, has been the official closing of the sale of WWE to Endeavor. That is the kind of change that we have not seen in wrestling before and it is leaving us in some uncharted waters. One of the questions has been who will be departing the company, and now we know at least one name, even if it might have nothing to do with the sale.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE Chief Financial Officer Frank A Riddick will be leaving the company at the end of September. Riddick’s job involved several things, including overlooking financial planning & analysis, investor relations, data analytics and more. This comes a day after Riddick reportedly received a $5 million bonus due to the Endeavor takeover. There is no word on who could succeed Riddick.

WWE knows something about money. Check out some of its financial moments over the years:

Opinion: I’m not sure if this had anything to do with the Endeavor takeover, but I don’t think handing someone $5 million was the biggest incentive to keep him. That is more money than most people could hope to spend in their whole life so maybe Riddick just wanted to get paid and walk off. Either way, Riddick is the first person to leave the WWE office and I’m curious to see how many are going to follow him.
