Well that’s pretty cool. While the wrestling world is quite entertaining and important to all kinds of fans, there is something a little more important taking place this week with the United States elections. This election cycle has been incredibly different in quite a big way, with millions of people voting for the same time. That was the case with a certain WWE employee, and a pretty famous person commented on it.

The election cycle has even drawn in various wrestlers, who are making their own opinions heard. There are some big names pulling for both sides, which have made for some rather interesting statements and situations. One of the more prominent voices has been Mick Foley, who has had a lot to say about the election for several weeks. Therefore, some news about his son probably made him smile.

Earlier this week, Foley’s son Dewey announced that he had cast his first ever vote in an election and it was cast in a swing state. After he tweeted the announcement, former United States President Barack Obama sent Dewey a congratulatory tweet, saying that it would make a difference. Dewey is currently the head writer for 205 Live and has worked in WWE creative for several years.

Dewey has been doing fairly well on 205 Live. Check out what he has been doing as of late:

Opinion: I’m not sure if Obama knew who Dewey was, but that’s a very cool story either way. Whether you like his politics or not, Obama is one of the most successful politicians in recent memory and this is the kind of thing that Dewey will be able to tell his children about one day. It’s also something that shows you how wrestling can still tie into the real world, which isn’t the case all that often.
